About this Fanlisting
Edith Nesbit, who published under the name E. Nesbit, was not only a pioneer in children's literature, creating a new genre of everyday kids having magical adventures, but was also a political activist and co-founded the Fabian Society (a precursor to the modern Labor Party). All this was done in Victorian times when women were not encouraged to do such things. She was a great lady in many ways, and if you are a fan as I am, I hope you will join this fanlisting!
