Podcast Aggregators
The easiest way to automatically download your podcasts of choice is through an aggregator. The links below include some of the more popular aggregators. I use iPodder myself and it's great and easy to use. Some people like iTunes because it feels familiar, but keep in mind that if a podcast download is interrupted, most aggregators can pick up the download where it left off, but iTunes must start the download from the beginning. That's something to think about if your internet connection is spotty. It can be confusing to use too, so if you're serious about podcasts you would probably want to consider a non-iTunes aggregator. Aggregators are for Windows except as noted, and I have not personally tried all of them.

Podcast Directories
Podcast directories are listings of various podcasts divided by topic, so you can browse through whichever topics that most interest you to find podcasts you might like. Most directories give short descriptions of each listed podcast, and many let you listen to a podcast before you subscribe.
